Lancôme Teint Idole Ultrawear Makeup Sticks.

Last month I received the most generous package from Lancôme, filled with lots of amazing makeup. The main stars of the show are these Teint Idole Ultra Makeup Sticks. In this package I received ten of the twenty shades available. This foundation is perfect for covering/concealing, contouring/highlighting or for full seamless coverage.

For great shade descriptions visit Sephora's website here:

Lets talk Formulation & Application: This Ultrawear Makeup Stick is an oil-free, fragrance-free, 24hr wear foundation with a broad spectrum SPF 21. It was also formulated for all skin types even sensitive skin. The foundation glides onto the skin very easily. But you must work quickly, I find that using a beauty blender is perfect for all over foundation application, and for blending larger areas. I've noticed that the formula goes on smooth, but once you begin to blend it turns into a powder/velvety texture. So if you have dry skin I would use both a moisturizer and a hydrating primer. If not, I would just use this as a contour/highlighting stick instead.

If you are going to contour with this, I love using a stippling brush to blend it out (Like this one) for an airbrushed finish. Even for my combo/oily skin, I still have to make sure that I hydrate my skin well.

Lets talk wear: This makeup stick does its name justice. Its Ultrawear 24hr formulation does last all day. I've only had the chance to try it out in cooler weather, but I can't wait to see what it is capable of during hot Florida summer days. The primer I use underneath is the Lancôme La Base Pro Pore Eraser Perfecting Makeup Primer. I've worked 8hr days and this makeup stick has out-performed many of my other foundations. When it begins to wear after many long hours, I'm talking 10+ hours, your skin starts to peak through in the most natural way. I didn't experience any oxidation. But I must admit, It can be a little drying if I use it everyday. This foundation is perfect for a night out or on a day where you know you will need a full coverage and a long lasting formula.

Price: The Teint Idole Ultrawear Makeup Stick retails for $42 USD. This is a pretty average price for a high-end makeup stick or foundation.
