September Skincare Edit.
Hello, everyone! Welcome to my very 70's and very green bathroom. Today I'm bringing you my September skincare routine/favorites. I get sent lots of skincare goodies monthly and I thought this would be a great series to share my honest opinions on products I am absolutely loving every month. As the months fly by I am either left with glowing skin or breakouts. This routine has left me feeling very confident and in love with my skin.
A few months ago I had a very bad reaction to a cocktail of products I was using. So I decided to stick to cleanser and moisturizer until my skin was back on track. September was the first month I was able to cocktail products again and I am so excited to share these favorites with you. I hope you enjoy this month's skincare edit!
1. Erborian Cleansing Micellar Water*
To be honest, removing my makeup is one of my least favorite things to do, but I want glowy skin so, you know I have to remove it regardless of what I'm feeling at the moment. Micellar waters have become a staple in my skincare routine. This Erborian Cleansing Micellar Water is heaven sent (a huge thank you to the Erborian team for sending it over). I love that it removes my makeup and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry. Although you should ALWAYS cleanse your skin after using a micellar water, I have been extra lazy in the past and just use this as a cleansing step. This is only when I am literally annoyed at everything and can't seem to continue with ice cold water and cleanser. You don't have to rinse your skin after using the product but as always, I am a double cleanser kind of gal so it's totally up to you. This cleanser is good for all skin types and is great in helping with dryness. I love that it doesn't leave me feeling greasy and that it gives my skin the perfect surge of hydration. I typically use cotton rounds when using this product. It retails for $26 USD and can be found here.
2. Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser
Glossier's Milky Jelly cleanser was a bit odd for me when I first tried it. I guess it was because of that fact that it doesn't lather up. I'm so used to cleansers that lather up so at first, my mind felt like it wasn't cleansing, but my skin felt amazing and clean. After using it for a few weeks I fell in love with how well it worked for my skin. Sometimes I skip using the micellar water as a first step since this cleanser does a great job at melting my makeup away. Although it does not remove waterproof makeup, It's still the bomb! I apply two pumps on my hand and then massage it onto my face (while it's dry) to melt the makeup away. I then apply water to continue to cleanse. For a full list of ingredients and claims, visit Glossier's site. Since I am a Glossier Rep, you can use my link to receive 20% off your first purchase or to shop my favs. https://www.glossier.com/reps/jomy (This is an affiliate link) $18 USD.
3. Glossier Super Pure
Super Pure is a serum targeted for acne prone, problematic, and red skin. It contains vitamin B3 to soothe red skin and Zinc PCA to help clean out your skin's impurities and prevent blemishes. Super Pure has definitely reduced my blemishes this month and my skin feels like it got a major detox. I have also been drinking a lot more water and have been making wiser choices when it comes to my diet. So although this serum is more topical, my diet has a lot to do with it as well. You can get it here with my Glossier Rep Link: https://www.glossier.com/reps/jomy $28 USD.
4. IT Cosmetics Secret Sauce Moisturizer*
IT Cosmetics has always been one of my favorite brands, from makeup to skincare I have lots of favorites (Secret Sauce was sent over as PR). Their confidence in a cream is one of my holy grail moisturizers but now this baby is changing the game. Whenever I apply this moisturizer, my face feels like a baby's bottom. It's unreal, I've never ever felt my face feel this soft before. This product is suitable for all skin types and it helps with dullness, uneven texture, dryness, fine lines, and wrinkles. After that bad reaction, I had a few weeks ago, I was left with a few bumps on my skin and texture. Ever since I've been using this moisturizer, I've noticed the texture diminish. This moisturizer retails for $68 USD and can be found here. If you're not up for that price tag, iT Cosmetics makes a great moisturizer called confidence in a cream and they sell a travel size for $16 USD at Ulta, you can find it here.
5. Goop Perfecting Eye Cream*
If you don't feel like a glazed donut after your skincare routine did you even skincare? I'm kidding! This eye cream is one of the most luxurious feeling eye creams I have ever tried. The amount of hydration that this product leaves me with is unreal. A little goes a long way, but I use this after applying my moisturizer day and night and use my ring finger to apply it. Whenever I skip this step, I notice the difference in my concealer and eye makeup application. Eye creams are your friend and once you find one that works for you, hold onto it! The Goop Perfecting Eye Cream retails for $90 USD you can find it here.
That's it for September's skincare favorites. I am excited to see what favorites October brings! Comment down below if you enjoyed this post, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Until next time!
Love, Jomy! Xx
