My Wellness Journey x House of Sweat Orlando

Today’s post is in collaboration with House of Sweat Orlando. When I accepted to be apart of their ambassador program, I never imagined how much of a positive impact it was going to make in my life. For almost two years I have been wanting to get fit and grab ahold of my wellness. But when I tell you I had zero motivation…I had ZERO motivation. Growing up I was very active. In high school I was in color guard, young, and in the best shape of my life. In college I would take a spin class here, a yoga class there and I would *rarely* go to the gym with Josh. Throughout the last 2-3 years I had gained over 16 pounds, had unhealthy eating habits, and was pretty much destined to have the genetic diseases that have greatly impacted my family over the last few decades. This collaboration has definitely been a gift from God because I had been wanting to be better and do better for myself but realistically, I didn't feel comfortable going to the gym, I didn't know where to start and I didn't want to fail. So I can honestly say this has been one of the best decisions of my life.

So let’s get this show on the road. I gave you a little background on where I was at, I was out of shape, had horrible eating habits and I was self conscious about going to the gym. Not going to lie, I was extremely nervous about attending my first workout but I am so happy I stepped out of my comfort zone and finally chose to do something that would in the end, make me stronger physically and mentally. Here is what HOS is all about.

What is House of Sweat?

HOS offers different options as far as memberships and classes go. Here is a breakdown:

  • Unlimited Training-Sessions Membership: $250/Monthly Unlimited

    This membership is their most popular and allows you to go as many times as you’d like, whenever you’d like during their operating hours. (Excludes bootcamp & yoga classes). Their sessions start as early as 5:30am and start every 30 minutes and can be booked through an app. That’s the beauty of it, you can go whenever works best for you.

  • Pay Per Session: $35
    This option allows you to try out HOS with no commitment to see if it is something that can work for you.

  • Boot Camp Classes: $15/Per class or $150/Monthly Unlimited
    Offering 1-2 bootcamp classes during the week and one on Saturdays, this is a great time to test out your abilities even further. These classes are hardcore but definitely worth it. These are also perfect for bringing a friend.

  • Yoga Free-Flow: $15/Per Class
    Let go, restore your mind and body with yoga.

  • Youth Sports and Conditioning Program: $189.99/Monthly
    This is an 8-week program for the youth athletes allowing them to improve their overall athletic abilities.


One of my favorite things about HOS is the ease to book your session. You can download the Vagaro App or book through this link: to choose which time is best for you. You can easily cancel or change your session time all through the app. The app also sends you email and text reminders so you don’t ever miss a workout.

The Start: My before:

I remember looking back at my before photos and remembering the place I was in (mentally) when I took these. I know I wasn’t extremely overweight and to many this may not look bad at all. But I felt as though I was in a place that if I continued….I would gain more weight and become even more comfortable. At this point I was focused on how much I weighed and let that number consume me.

I remember my first day out HOS. I even remember what I wore. I remember not really owning any *cute* fitness clothes and just walking right in not knowing how much my body was about to change. Over the course of two and a half months, I trained 2-3 times a week and changed my diet (nothing too crazy, less binge eating and snacking and more meal prep). I look back and remember so many times I didn't want to workout but getting myself there, finishing a workout, and feeling like I could conquer the world was the best feeling ever. Not only did I feel better, over time I was changing. My body was changing, the way I looked at myself changed as well.

The After:

So if you’re wondering numbers and sizes…I went down two pant sizes. I went from a size 8 to a size 4. My actual weight didn't really change as I gained a lot of muscle. I am so happy to be stronger now!

If you’re looking for a lifestyle change and need that push that you’ve been looking for, HOS is for you! Whether you’re an athlete, a fitness junkie or someone like me who literally started from the bottom, HOS is for you! I can honestly say that I feel confident to workout and know that I can do it. HOS gave me the confidence I needed. All of the trainers are so amazing and very helpful. The atmosphere makes you want to train harder and be better.
